Serves 8 Ingredients:
  • 3 (12-oz) bottles or cans of beer
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 ½ teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 8 bratwurst, uncooked
  • 8 Village Hearth Wheat Buns
  • Sauerkraut (optional)
  • Spicy brown mustard (optional)
 
Directions: Combine beer and onions in a large pot; bring to a boil. Add the seasonings and bratwurst. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Remove brats and drain on paper toweling. Heat grill to medium high. Cook for 8 – 9 minutes until nicely browned. Place brats in buns and top with sauerkraut and mustard if desired.
