Serves 4 Ingredients:
  • 2 (3-oz) packages cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup cinnamon chips
  • 8 slices Country Hearth Cinnamon Raisin Bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup low-fat milk
  • Dash salt
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  Directions: Cream together cheese and sugar. Mix in cinnamon chips. Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and salt in a shallow dish. Spread the cream cheese mixture on 4 bread slices. Top with remaining bread to form a sandwich. Melt butter on medium hot griddle or frying pan. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture. Fry on each side for 3 – 5 minutes until golden brown and filling is hot. Serve with butter and maple syrup or cinnamon sugar.
