Serves 4 Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 8 slices Country Hearth Cinnamon Burst Breakfast Bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Confectioners’ sugar for dusting
Directions: In a 9 x 13-inch pan, whisk together eggs, juice, cream, cinnamon, granulated sugar and nutmeg. Place bread slices in pan, turn until liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes. In a large skillet or griddle, melt butter over medium heat. Fry bread slices and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4 minutes per side. Dust with confectioners’ sugar and serve warm with maple syrup.
