Ingredients:
  • 8 slices Village Hearth Texas Toast
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup white chocolate chips
  • 6 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur
  • Irish whipped cream (recipe follows)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350•
Cut bread into 1/2″ cubes. Butter a 2 quart baking dish. Layer half the bread cubes in prepared dish. Sprinkle semi-sweet chips over bread, top with remaining bread, then sprinkle white chips on top. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until well combined. Add milk, half and half, Irish cream and extract. Pour over bread. Cover loosely with foil. Bake for 20 minutes, remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm or at room temperature and topped with Irish whipped cream if desired.
Irish Whipped Cream
Ingredients:
  • 16-oz whipping cream
  • 1 small box vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 cup Irish cream liqueur, or whole milk
Directions: Combine all in a large, chilled bowl. Beat on high with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Store leftovers in fridge.
