Serves 12 Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf Country Hearth Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 can apple pie filing (21 ounce)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Directions: Grease a 13″ x 9″ baking dish. Cut the bread into 1/2″ cubes and place in prepared baking dish. In a large bowl, mix together eggs, milk, 1/3 cup sugar, vanilla, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Pour over the bread. Carefully spread apple pie filling over bread. Combine remaining cinnamon and sugar, then sprinkle over apple pie filling. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight. In the morning, remove from fridge and preheat oven to 350°. Bake for about an hour until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve with maple syrup or caramel sauce.
