Serves 4 Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices Artisan Hearth Rustic White Bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions: Whisk together first 7 ingredients. Heat skillet to medium heat, add butter. Dip bread slices into egg mixture. Fry for 2 – 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Meanwhile, combine sugar and cinnamon. Top French toast slices with more butter and the sugar cinnamon mixture.
