Serves 4-5 Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 8 – 10 slices Village Hearth Cottage Sourdough Bread
  • 2-3 tablespoons butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Additional butter and maple syrup
Directions: Heat skittle or griddle to 350°. In a shallow bowl, whisk together first 5 ingredients. Melt butter on large skillet or griddle. Dip bread slices in egg mixture and place on hot griddle. Fry bread slices and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with maple syrup.  
Christmas French Toast
