Ingredients:
  •  2 tablespoons olive oil
  •   6 cloves garlic, minced
  •  2 cans 6-ounce cans tomato paste
  •  2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  •  1 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  •  1 teaspoon garlic powder
  •  1 teaspoon ground fennel
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  •  2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan (the stuff in a green container)
  •  3 pounds cooked meatballs
  •  Artisan Hearth Hoagie Rolls
  •  Shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions: Heat oil in a large skillet. Add minced garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Whisk in tomato paste and next 7 ingredients. Simmer an additional 5 minutes. Stir in water. Place meatballs in a large slow cooker. Pour sauce over. Cook on low for 3 – 4 hours until heated through. To serve, fill rolls with meatballs and sauce, then top with cheese.
