Serves 4 Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  •  1/4 onion, finely chopped
  •  1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
  • 4 Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Hamburger Rolls
  • 6 teaspoons butter, softened
  •  4 slices Swiss cheese
  • Mushroom Topping, recipe follows
Directions: Mix beef, steak sauce and onion. Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about ¾ inch thick. Sprinkle patties with pepper. Cover and grill patties 14 to 18 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink in the center and juice is clear. During last 5 minutes of grilling time, butter buns and place on grill, buttered side down, and top patties with cheese. Cover and grill until buns are toasted and cheese is melted. Place patties on buns. Spoon topping over patties. Mushroom Topping
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  •  1/4 teaspoon salt
  •  1/8 teaspoon pepper
  •  1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced and separated into rings
Directions: Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring frequently, until onion is tender.
